Table Rock Lake
Created in the late 1950s with the construction of Table Rock Dam, the 43,100-acre Table Rock Lake is by far one of the most popular (as well as stunningly beautiful) recreational areas in the Midwest. There is truly something for everyone, from laid-back nature lovers to adrenaline-fueled water sports enthusiasts. Two shaded camping areas allow easy access to the water, while marinas offer a diverse range of watercraft for rental, from pontoon boats to waverunners and beyond. The clarity of the water makes the lake a popular place for freshwater SCUBA; diving equipment can be rented or purchased at the marina, and guided excursions are available. Best of all is the fishing: crappie, sunfish and catfish are known favorites for local fishermen.
