Cars, Trees & Traditions
Holidays in the Motor City wouldn’t be complete without something auto related, right? Cars, Trees & Traditions, an annual exhibit at the Walter P. Chrysler Museum, spotlights eight decades of holiday season celebrations through 23 decorated trees paired with Chrysler vehicles. Past holidays come to life in the exhibit with vintage advertisements, events and photos. Visitors can follow the exhibit’s narrative from one vignette to the next to see how vehicle progression – from horseless carriages to Model Ts – helped change the way in which Americans celebrated the season’s festivities. Crafts and train models run during weekends to add seasonal flair.
