Burns Park Dog Park
A 1,600 acre site, Burns Park is one of the nation's largest city parks and includes multiple fields for baseball, soccer, a 36-hole golf course, an amusement park, an archery range, a boat ramp, fishing, biking, hiking, horseback riding trails, and a large dog park. The dog park is easy to find not far off Interstate 40, and includes three large enclosures of about 1 1/2 to 2 acres each. Each space is tree-shaded and equipped with benches, water hoses and small pools. It is busiest in the early morning between 6 and 8 am and again from 6 pm to sunset. Lighting along nearby park roads also make it possible to exercise with your dog after dark.
