The Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh is definitely a place a family could spend an entire day. The art room where kids can mold clay or paint on easels is a highlight for kids. Paint is everywhere and messes are encouraged. Upstairs, kids can learn about and play with birdseed, train tables, a giant light pegboard and sand tables. Lots of seating is available for parents around the museum and at the play stations. On the water floor kids receive rain jackets and can walk through and directly under running water, build damns and move boats through the river. Bring a change of clothes just in case the jacket doesn’t completely do the trick. There are also always rotating exhibits at the museum that have included top hits like Bob The Builder and Arthur.
