Without a doubt, the biggest annual festival or fair in Seattle is Seafair! A long-standing tradition in Seattle, Seafair has been an integral part of summers in the city for over 60-years and pulls together each neighborhood to have some fun! The festival typically begins at the end of June, typically to align with the first day of summer and lasts through Labor Day weekend. But, what exactly happens during Seafair? There are events all over the city -- the Seafair Pirates' landing at Alki Beach, the Milk Carton Derby at Green Lake, the Torchlight Parade and Race downtown, the Blue Angels roaring through the skies, the hydroplane boats racing on Lake Washington... and so much more! Plus, each Seattle neighborhood and surrounding cities participate in Seafair on their own -- throwing smaller festivals and hosting parades.
