Like the Chicago Loop, the Delmar Loop is not actually a loop. Rather, it's a little urban hotspot nestled in midtown St. Louis--University City, to be exact. This little stretch of Delmar Boulevard is intensely popular for people of all ages, and guaranteed to be packed during any stretch of temperate weather. It's the place to go shopping, sit at a cafe, enjoy ethnic food, and take in a cultural festival or two. You'll also find the Delmar Walk of Fame, strewn with stars' names like Miles Davis, T.S. Eliot, Nelly, Tina Turner, and other famous St. Louis natives. You might not find the Loop listed in a St. Louis tour guide or visitors' manual. But St. Louis natives will confirm that it's one of the best things St. Louis has got going on.
