Baby's Day Out in Chicago, IL
On the windiest of windy Chicago days, you're going to need to find somewhere to play inside for baby's day out. Thank goodness for Purple Monkey Playroom! Located in Bucktown, you're almost going to feel like this is a day out for you too -- beyond all the fun things for baby to explore (train tables, soft places to climb, toys that are super clean), there's also coffee and tea to keep your caffeine levels up, tons of other mamas to chat with and even free wi-fi for squeezing in a couple minutes of work, if you need to. We love that the third sibling plays free at Purple Monkey and non-crawling siblings play free as well, making it a great destination for babies with other siblings.
One of Chicago's most beloved playgrounds and parks, for both children and parents alike, is Adams Playground Park at Lincoln Park. Besides its great playground, including a section for the littlest park visitors, there is a very popular water spray park that makes those hot Chicago days nearly bearable. Have a little guy who loves to eat sand, we mean, dig in the sand? The huge sandbox at Adams is a hit and is always full of plenty of sand toys. Parents of Chicago babies will love Adams Playground Park because it feels clean -- you'll even be willing to use the park bathrooms here -- a true sign of its cleanliness!
