Dana Hotel and Spa

The trendy and intimate Dana Hotel is a favorite destination for spa-loving locals because the service is excellent and treatments can be preceded or followed by drinks at the Vertigo lounge. The spa offers a full range of beauty services from manicures and pedicures to decadent experiences like the 4-hand massage with two licensed massage therapists. The Dana Spa has a rich menu of facials to choose from, including microderm abrasion. If you're really in the mood for an adventure, sign up for the hanakasumi experience, an 80-minute Japanese beauty ritual involving massage, cherry blossom aroma, and a shea butter moisturizing treatment. You're guaranteed to emerge feeling very zen.

Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa

The reliable experience of a chain spa can have its appeal. It can help you to take advantage of national discounts, use reward points, join loyalty programs and take advantage of well-thought out marketing programs. The Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spas provide a consistent luxurious spa and salon experience in 31 locations throughout the US. They offer a variety of really fun packages including champagne and rose facials and pedicures or a magnolia manicure as well as over a dozen package options to gift for Mother's Day. This Michigan Avenue location is located in the heart of the Magnificent Mile and is the perfect end to a day of shopping with the girls, to get re-energized for a night out on the town. Get your nails done and combine it with a style and blow-dry and you'll be ready to have the night of your life. There's even a spa cafe for nibbles and snacks.

Kaya Day Spa

Sometimes you're just not in the mood to head to a hotel for a spa experience, and just want something a little more low key. The Kaya Day Spa is the perfect solution when you want some pampering but don't want to make a whole fancy production of it. Set in the trendy yet relaxed atmosphere of the West Loop, Kaya Day Spa will soothe you without breaking the bank. And if you want to absolve yourself of any guilt, you can combine your pampering with a yoga or pilates class in the newly opened pilates studio. The prices at Kaya cannot be beat. For $260, you can have a massage, facial, manicure and pedicure.

Kohler Waters Spa

The prices at Kohler Waters Spa may seem a bit steep ($135 for a 50 minute Swedish massage) but it's well worth it when you consider the aquatic paradise that you get to enjoy as part of your fee which they call the Circle of Tranquility. The co-ed bathing area includes three very different shower experiences: the Envelope will surround you with shower sprays from all sides, then the Quench Shower will refresh you with cool water sprays until finally the Deluge Shower will caress you with a mesmerizing misty rain. In addition to the showers, you can also take advantage of a 25-foot whirlpool, and a massaging 8-foot waterfall, a steam room, sauna, and even an 8-foot cool dip pool. And don't worry about the fact that this is a co-ed area because bathing suits are required.

mySpa at the Fairmount

If you like your spa treatments in a convenient place that is not a trendy scene, then mySpa at the Fairmount Hotel Millenium Park is the place for you. The spa staff is focused on great service and personalized experience yet this is definitely not the hang out spot for the jet set. The treatment rooms are newly renovated, as is the rest of the hotel, and the duet suite with its private plunge pool is particularly memorable. Many Chicago locals swear by mySpa when the sun finally shows its head in Chicago as they offer spray tanning without any worries of streaking or dirtiness. Devoted locals even join the massage club to enjoy discounts and special access.
