The Trains at Northpark Center

Benefiting the Ronald McDonald House of Dallas, The Trains at Northpark Center is the most intricate exhibit of toy trains in Texas, featuring 24 Lionel train sets over 1,600 feet of toy track. For over 10 years, these elaborate train sets have been delighting the kid in all of us as they ramble cross-country through models of some of the most famous skylines in the US, including Dallas, New York City, San Francisco, New England and the nation’s capitol.

In addition to this spectacular display, the Lionel store will sell it’s famous train sets, t-shirts, gifts and collectibles. Part of the proceeds from these sales will also be donated to the Ronald McDonald House of Dallas.

Holiday at the Arboretum

Holidays are spectacular at the Dallas Arboretum! It’s a Fairy Tale World promises a world of wonderment and joy, featuring hundreds of Santas in all shapes, sizes and colors from the private collections of the arboretum’s patrons. The beautifully decorated DeGolyer Estate spotlights displays like Santa at the North Pole, the 12 Days of Christmas, the Night Before Christmas, and more.

Get your picture taken in Cinderella’s enchanted holiday carriage, a life-sized bedazzled carriage “pulled” by two magnificent topiary steeds. And just like in a fairy tale, you never know what beloved characters you’ll get the chance to meet. Keep an eye out for Frosty the Snowman or Rudolph the Red-Nose Reindeer!

Holiday in the Park

Ask any Dallasite when the best time to visit Six Flags Over Texas is and the answer might surprise you. It’s during the winter holiday season, of course! If this is the happiest time of the year, why not open the happiest park in DFW for some Winter Wonderland excitement?

At Six Flags Over Texas, ‘tis the season for a variety of holiday-themed rides and attractions. Frosty Snow Hill may be the only place in Texas you can regularly feel the wind in your face as you whiz down a snow-covered hill. They don’t stop there. On the first day of Hanukkah, they light the first candle of a 15-foot monolithic menorah! The menorah is lit each day during the festival of lights, followed by entertainment, refreshments and more!
