This outdoor mall is perfect for strolling along and window shopping with your pooch. Select stores even allow your well trained dog to accompany you, including Macy’s, Sak’s Fifth Avenue and The Sharper Image to name a few. The grounds of the Fashion Park are beautifully maintained and with lots of lush green grass to lounge in, providing you and your four-legged friend with the perfect place to rest and relax before hitting the stores again. Be sure to stop by Petique Retail and Adoption Center sponsored by the Arizona Humane Society to visit some of the most adoptable dogs in the state and to spoil your pooch in the pet boutique.

Aunt Chilada’s

One of the best things about Arizona cuisine has got to be the plethora of Mexican restaurants available in the Valley. Get the full southwest experience at Aunt Chilada’s. The perfect place for outdoor dining, surrounded by the beautiful mountains of the Squaw Peak area, you can listen to live music and enjoy a margarita with plenty of room for your canine companion to join you. Located right near Dreamy Draw Park and within miles of hiking trails conveniently located off the 101, Aunt Chilada’s is a great place to wrap up the day or to start your Sunday morning. Cosmo Dog Park

A state-of-the-art, off-leash dog park in Gilbert, Cosmo Dog Park offers a ton-of-fun for dogs with 4 acres of fenced play areas, lighting for night use, pet drinking fountains and wash stations, and trash receptacles for easy cleaning. There’s also a separate area for smaller or more timid dogs, which is especially convenient for first-time visitors. But the main attraction at Cosmo Dog Park is the man-made lake that is a favorite for water-loving breeds.

Downtown Phoenix Public Market

Founded in February 2005 by Community Food Connections and local resident Cindy Gentry, the Downtown Phoenix Public Market offers the best in Arizona-grown produce like fresh flowers, fruits and vegetables, meat, dairy and roasted coffee. Leashed, well-behaved dogs are welcome to scan the goods with their owners, who will also find mouth-watering jams, honey, baked goods, and art from Phoenix-area artists. Admission and parking are free, and the market is open Wednesdays from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Duck and Decanter

Next time you feel like getting out of the house for a great atmosphere, a glass of wine and some relaxing music, Duck and Decanter is the place to be. This classic espresso and wine bar serves up decadence with a European flair that takes you out of the hot Arizona summer for a moment and feels more like a little vacation bistro.
