Ace Hotel in Portland

Saying that the Ace Hotel in Portland's Pearl District is 'cool' hardly even conveys its greatness. With only four locations in the entire country, Portland is lucky to have an Ace. Each room at the Ace Hotel is distinctively different with its own sense of style -- from a huge floor to ceiling wallpaper cat to record players with a vintage vinyl collection, it will be hard to pick which one to stay in. You won't want to miss the dining options around the Ace which include Stumptown Coffee (perfect for a magazine and delicious latte), Clyde Common (with communal tables for meeting some locals) and Kenny and Zuke's (for grabbing lunch to go on the way out to explore the city).

Jupiter Hotel

What used to be an old motor inn is now one of the hippest boutique hotels in Portland, The Jupiter Hotel is a fantastic place to stay. Each one of The Jupiter's 81 rooms is beautifully decorated with an eye for simplistic modern design, while still offering the plush comforts of five star resorts. Check out their Distillery Package which includes a day-pass to the neighboring distilleries and a $20 gift certificate to spend while touring. The inside scoop on The Jupiter is that it is a party hotel, so don't book a room here with the hopes of having a quiet, relaxing night away -- bring your best party shoes and expect to have a good time!

Avalon Hotel and Spa

The Avalon Hotel and Spa in the Riverside District of Southwest Portland is perfect for a weekend giveaway. Located right on the Willamette River, The Avalon has everything you need inside of it's chic walls -- a full-service luxury spa, gorgeous and comfortable guest rooms, daily continental breakfast on every single floor and the delicious Aquarive Italian Kitchen. Tips from Regular Guests -- Book a room on a high floor to get the best view of the river, take their complimentary car into downtown Portland -- it's an old English cab, great for booking a large crowd like a wedding -- they are extreamely accommodating.

Hotel Modera

Surrounded by fine dining restaurants, art galleries, museums and sophisticated shops, Hotel Modera is the most luxurious of luxury boutique hotels -- where else are you greeted with a welcome snack of hazelnuts and a glass of wine? Beyond its surroundings, one of our favorite parts of Hotel Modera is the outdoor courtyard space with fireplaces for warming up on a cool Portland night and enjoying a drink with friends or other hotel guests. Another cozy touch are the super plush animal print throws at the end of each bed -- perfect for an added layer of chic warmth.

Hotel deLuxe

Be sure to read the name of this Portland boutique hotel as it is spelled -- not deluxe but deLUXE -- with emphasis on the LUXE part. Located in the Pearl District, Hotel deLuxe makes you feel as if you are in old Hollywood with a tasteful art deco theme, bell boys to help in the lobby and a champagne happy hour. Having trouble sleeping? Order your favorite pillow from the pillow menu and a loaded iPod to help get you to dreamland.  Hotel deLuxe is the perfect boutique hotel choice if you're looking for a romantic getaway in Portland.
