Fill out the elf scavenger hunt form, available on the Gardner Village website, and turn it in at the end for a special treat. Children will love checking the Naughty or Nice list to see which list their name is on.

EVE

EVE is a three night celebration in downtown Salt Lake City to ring in the new year. Events and celebrations are held for three days straight at multiple locations, and for multiple ages. Purchase a pass and enjoy three nights of non-stop fun. Enjoy live music, street performers, comedy acts, ice skating, fireworks, food and shows during this New Year's Eve celebration. A favorite event of EVE attendees is the room filled with two thousand humungous bouncy balls. The Bounce Town is also a favorite, where attendees can jump around on giant inflatables. With the different various events, EVE is a perfect event for the entire family, and kids of all ages. To avoid the hassle of parking, park at a trax station instead and take the trax train into downtown.

Candlelight Christmas

Candlelight Christmas is the perfect opportunity to step back in time to a place where life was simpler, and family is what Christmas was all about. At Candlelight Christmas at This Is The Place Heritage Park, you will learn about what Christmas was like for the early pioneers in Salt Lake City. Enjoy live reindeer, visits with Father Christmas, pioneer stories, train rides, pioneer crafts, puppet shows, carolers and dancing. Their live nativity scene is unlike any other in the valley; the sheep and animals are not enclosed in a fencing area, but instead are roaming around the nativity scene that you are allowed to walk through. A demonstration of how the very first Christmas card was printed is both educational and fun.

Dickens' Christmas Festival

Nineteenth century London comes alive during the holidays in Salt Lake City at the Dickens' Christmas Festival. Located at the Utah State Fair Park, this holiday experience combines the sights and sounds of Old London with shopping to create a magical holiday event. Guests walk down narrow "London village" streets as nineteenth century guests wander past them. Learn how to do brass rubbings, an old London tradition. Enjoy food, entertainment and atmosphere. Entertainment happens throughout the day, including performances of "Oliver Twist" and "Scrooge". Put on your top hat or hoop skirt and join in the festivities.

Winder Farms Holiday Lights

Winder Farms Holiday Lane is all lit up and decorated for the holidays. Winder Farms, formerly known as Winder Dairy, has been decorating their houses for the holidays long before brightly lit houses were popular. The official holiday season has begun when the Winder family houses are lit up for the holidays. Drive down Winder Lane, see the lights on the houses, and end your night with scones and hot chocolate at their country store. Santa Claus makes appearances on special nights. Winder Farms was one of the first local dairies in Utah, and is still in operation. The Winder family is still the owners and operators of this historic dairy.
