Ripley’s Haunted Adventure

Give the kids a scare at Ripley’s Haunted Adventure. Here you'll find a multi-million dollar haunted house with amazing animatronics and spooky special effects. Kids love to ride the old coffin to the top floor, where they have to find their way out. While at Ripley’s Haunted Adventure also visit the Guinness Museum and Tomb Rider 3D Ride at the same location -- you get a big ticket discount for all three.

Dinosaur-Quest

Budding paleontologists will love a visit to San Antonio's Dinosaur-Quest, a 21,000-square-foot exhibit which showcases true-to-scale dinosaur skeletons brought back to life with lights, sound effects and animation. Located at Rivercenter Mall, this is a must-see for the whole family. If you want to save money on parking, you can park at a meter on Sundays (or after 6pm weekdays) and it's free!

Enchanted Springs Ranch

Just outside San Antonio, your family can enjoy a real authentic Old West town. Take a trip back in time as you check out this real working ranch full of longhorns, horses, buffalo and more. Kids love the tractor wagon ride, wild west shows, chuck wagon dinners and other special events. For something really cool, stay at the onsite bed & breakfast -- it's a 2-story 1800s log house.

Fiesta Texas

For the family of thrill-seekers, San Antonio's Fiesta Texas is the place to be! This amusement park has rides and entertainment suitable for every member of your family. Be prepared to spend a full day (or more!) exploring this adventure park. In addition to the thrill rides and roller coasters, they also offer 25 kiddie rides, numerous mild family rides, concerts and special events. To cool off in the summer, head to the adjacent water park -- White Water Bay -- for more fun.

Kiddie Park

For an old-fashioned good time, visit Kiddie Park, America's oldest children's amusement park. Open since 1925, this San Antonio family favorite is home to classic amusement park rides seven days a week. If you are looking for a fun place for your wee one's birthday party, this is it. They offers several party packages to choose from, which include everything from party invitations to ice cream. You can bring in pinatas, decorations, cakes and ready-to-serve food for reserved parties.
