Belly Up Tavern

Known as one of San Diego's better live music venues, Belly Up Tavern in Solana Beach never disappoints. Affordable tickets and great bands and performers make Belly Up a favorite among San Diego locals. The tavern has a variety of artists - from well-known bands to local musicians. The small venue means you're close to the band and a part of the action. It also means that seating is limited, so if you're not in the mood to stand, get there early. Popular shows do sell out, so buy tickets early.

The Casbah

The Casbah opened in 1989 and hosted such bands as Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana and Lemonheads. At the original location, it had a capacity of only 75. Years later, The Casbah moved down the street to a bigger venue - although it's not too large - and it has continued its tradition of hosting great bands and performers. You'll find shows at The Casbah six or seven nights a week. Even better, ticket prices are very reasonable. The Casbah has a full bar, so if you're up for an evening of fun, this is a great place!

Lestat's West Music Venue

Lestat's West Music Venue is directly next door to Lestat's Coffeehouse, and it's just as popular! Whether you're looking for a low key and local show or you want to see a national touring act, you can do it at Lestat's. You'll love the small atmosphere, but you don't have to sacrifice the big talent. The sound is great and attendees and artists all have a great time at Lestat's.

Ramona Mainstage

The fairly new Ramona Mainstage is home of the old Ramona Theatre. It has been renovated and updated and is now a beautiful, state-of-the-art live entertainment venue. Ramona Mainstage is a drive for many San Diego residents, but it's well worth it for the nice, clean environment, great music and good sound. Ramona Mainstage also has comfortable seating, so if you're not a standing room kind of concertgoer, this is the place for you.

4th and B

4th and B provides San Diego music enthusiasts with a 21,000 square foot facility to enjoy their favorite musicians in a fairly small environment. From local bands to top recording artists, 4th and B hosts them all. Besides the large venue, 4th and B offers a great bar and has fantastic sound and state-of-the-art lighting. Remember that 4th and B is located in downtown San Diego, so leave time for parking.
