The Children's Museum, Seattle

For the perfect day out with baby in Seattle, a visit to The Children's Museum is a must! Tucked away in the popular Seattle Center, right in the heart of the city, The Children's Museum is geared towards kids who are preschool-aged and younger, with special areas designated for the littlest ones who want to explore. Planning a first birthday party? The Children's Museum is always a popular choice for celebrating turning the big "one" -- the party rooms are fantastic and you can even bring in your own food! Be sure to keep up to date with the latest and greatest exhibits at the museum -- they have a nice set of permanent exhibits, which are always favorites, and bring in temporary exhibits every year to keep things fresh for the kids.

Seattle Children's Theatre

The theater isn't just for adults, or for big kids, for that matter! The Seattle Children's Theatre makes a huge effort to balance their shows every season, making sure that every audience age range is covered -- even babies! Recently, little one favorites such as The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Go, Dog. Go! have been featured during the main season at the theater, pulling in a younger crowd that is already getting their booties wet with their first stage experiences. Keep in mind that children from age one up will need their own ticket and if you are bringing a baby younger than one year old, they must sit in your lap. And, seats are first come, first served at The Seattle Children's Theatre, but every seat in the house is a good one!

Twirl Cafe

Places like Twirl Cafe are like heaven for new moms and moms in Seattle certainly appreciate having Twirl as their go-to spot for a day out with baby. Many moms use Twirl as a place to hang out on those rainy Seattle days -- they have an amazing play area that is not only clean, but has toys that are still working and lots of room for baby to stretch out her legs. You can also take advantage of the supervised play times -- mom can let baby play with the sweet caregivers at Twirl and enjoy a latte and a few chapters of her book nearby (mom must stay at Twirl, however). And, don't miss Twirls extensive list of group classes for little ones -- they're a great place to meet a new little playmate!

Four Seasons Hotel, Seattle

If you're traveling with baby and looking for a place to stay in Seattle, you just can't beat The Four Seasons Hotel. Located just steps from Pike's Place Market (great for people watching!) and a quick stroller ride away from dozens of other baby-friendly Seattle attractions, you won't want to head in for nap time during your stay! But, that's the other wonderful thing about staying with The Four Seasons while traveling -- they can take care of any and all of your baby requests -- from providing a stroller so that you don't have to fly with one to making sure you have organic baby food waiting in your room when you arrive, we're pretty sure that you're the one who's going to throw a fit when you have to leave.

University Village

While it may just look like a shopping mall to you, to moms of babies, University Village looks like Mecca. University Village is far more than just a place to shop. With a fun undercover play area that is geared for younger children, multiple water features for them to splash in on hot Seattle days (yes, they do exisit!), tons of choices for grabbing a bite to eat when baby finally falls asleep in the stroller and more, there's no denying that U.Village (as it's lovingly called) is a mama hotspot in Seattle. You can get some shopping done for baby while you're here -- U.Village is also home to all of the big names in baby goods -- from clothes to furniture to gear. Don't miss Village Maternity on the north side of the village for tons of goodies for the under age two crowd.
