Known as one of the best places to dine in Seattle, Canlis is also one of the best wedding venues -- their private dining rooms have unparalled views of downtown, but with the feeling that you're in someone's gorgeous home, rather than a cold restaurant or event venue. Canlis is perfect for a small, intimate wedding or reception -- up to 100 people -- and they will, no doubt, make it the most special day of your life, taking care of all the details and requests that are important to the bride and groom. And naturally, the amazing food and wine is just topping on the (wedding) cake!

Sodo Park by Herban Feast

One of the most sought after wedding venues in Seattle is Sodo Park, owned by the equally incredible Seattle catering company, Herban Feast. The space is an old warehouse that they have re-purposed into a large open space that will accomodate 300 for a seated reception. Both couples and wedding coordinators swoon over Sodo Park for so many reasons -- first of all, it only takes mere minutes to get there from downtown. Second, it's the perfect combination of rustic and urban -- it can easily be transformed into an uber chic venue or a romantic barn in the blink of an eye. And of course, the food from Herban Feast is amazing and a compliment to whatever type of wedding you're throwing.

Fairmont Olympic Hotel

That timeless, classic wedding venue in Seattle is the Spanish Ballroom at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel, located right in the heart of downtown. The ballroom itself is huge -- with towering 20-foot ceilings and a large, gorgeous foyer for greeting your guest or letting them mingle and enjoy a cocktail before going into the ballroom to sit down for dinner. We also love weddings at the Fairmont because there is plenty of room for your entire wedding to stay at the hotel, if you choose and without feeling like you'll run into your guests on your wedding night (wink, wink!). They also have smaller venues at the Fairmont Olympic that are just as spectacular.

Novelty Hill - Januik Winery

The brilliant teamwork of Januik and Novelty Hill Wineries in Woodinville -- less than an hour from downtown Seattle -- results in a wedding venue that will make you (and your guests!) swear that you've been transported to the hills of Napa Valley. The space is created for smaller, intimate weddings or receptions of up to 100-150 people and the team at Januik-Novelty Hill isn't afraid to help you create the wedding you've been dreaming of -- from some casual mingling amongst some bocce ball, the outdoor fireplace and the venue's gardens to a more formal, sit-down event, they can make it happen seamlessly. Catering and of course, the wine, is all on-site for complete ease.

JM Cellars

Wine enthusiasts will swoon over this Seattle-area wedding venue -- JM Cellars, tucked away in Woodinville's Bramble Bump, is a tiny venue for small, intimate weddings. You can literally get married or hold your reception amongst the wine at JM Cellars -- the maximum capacity is currently 55-100 people, so all of your mingling, cocktailing, dining, toast-giving and dancing happens right there. We also love that JM Cellars is a family-owned buisness and that owners, Peggy and John, are even hands-on in planning your event at JM. Even more bonus points to JM Cellars as a wedding venue because you can hold your event there anytime of year and in any weather.
