Simply Selma's

This gift shop located in the La Promenade shopping center is a Virginia Beach locals’ favorite.  With an assortment of unique finds, you are sure to find the perfect gift for anyone on your list or yourself if you are so inclined.  The owner takes great pride in keeping the store stocked with unique items.  Be warned: this is one of those stores one could literally spend hours (and too much money) shopping in!  That being said, there are also some very reasonable finds.   To complete your shopping experience, be sure to take advantage of the complimentary gift wrap service as your package will be transformed into a masterpiece.

Apricot Lane

Apricot Lane is the perfect boutique destination for the modern, stylish lady. They carry many premium brand names that you would typically find at upscale boutique and department stores, but prices at Apricot Lane are surprisingly reasonable.  If clothing is not what you are after, Apricot Lane offers jewelry, purses, belts, and even gifts to round out your shopping experience. The store is well-organized, and the staff is friendly and eager to help you track down your special find or offer styling tips once you are ready to try on.  With comfy couches and stylish décor, Apricot Lane is a fun girls place to shop and hang out.

Worth the Wait

Worth the Wait is actually two stores in one.  On one side, you will find a retail boutique featuring jewelry, handbags, and gifts.  But on the other side, you will find the consignment finds that make the store a favorite of Virginia Beach locals.  Worth the Wait only accepts clothing, handbags, and shoes from top-shelf designers that are in “like new” condition, meaning you are apt to find a major bargain from designers such as Coach, Kate Spade, Stuart Weitzman, as well as other designers to appeal to younger clientele.   Bargain hunter and/or fashionista; either will be happy to have found Worth the Wait.

Bevello

New to Virginia Beach’s Town Center, bevello offers a much-needed boutique shopping experience for those located west of the oceanfront.  Bevello is a small boutique, but delivers large on selection and style.   The store offers many top brands at relatively affordable prices.  The clothes are mostly casual, although some good party dresses can be found.  Additionally, the store stocks a small selection of shoes, most of which are Toms.  Parking at bevello can be a bit of pain, but it is worth the struggle if you’re looking for something to wear that you won’t see on everyone else.

Wave Riding Vehicles

Every Virginia Beach local knows no wardrobe is complete without at least one of Wave Riding Vehicles’ signature dolphin logo tee shirts.  The store, which locals refer to simply as WRV, is famous worldwide for its custom created surfboards.  And everything about the store from the waterfall at the entrance to the board short-clad staff certainly alerts you to the fact that you are decidedly entering a surfer’s paradise.  But WRV offers much more than just surf apparel and supplies; their clothing selection is large and varied, carrying some premium men’s and women’s brands.  They also carry a large offering of shoes, accessories, and swimsuits (naturally), for both men and women.  There are a lot of surf shops in Virginia Beach, but WRV is THE locals’ choice.
