Benny’s Bistro

Miles Farmers market is a popular shopping spot, but Benny’s Bistro, also on the premises, is one of Cleveland’s hidden treasures. The bistro uses all of the same fresh ingredients that are sold in the market, so you know everything that goes into your meal will be top of the line. They are known for their delicious, crispy chicken, but nearly anything on the menu is excellent. Benny’s is perfect for a busy night. Place your order after you’re done shopping, so you can take home a hot meal for tonight and fresh groceries for the rest of the week.

Gaetano’s Restaurant

This lesser-known Italian eatery in the Mayfield Heights area of Cleveland may not look like much from the outside, but it’s a treasure to be found. Although their entrees are delicious, the restaurant is known by locals for its homemade bread. Each table gets its own piping-hot loaf, fresh from the oven. The cavatelli is made in-house, and the blue cheese dressing has huge chunks of blue cheese. Standard sauces are made with meat, but meatless options are available upon request. The restaurant does not have a liquor license, but they do allow you to bring your own alcohol.

Jack's Deli and Restaurant

Jack’s takes deli to a whole new level. The modern décor gives a fresh look to the long-standing Cleveland staple. They serve traditional deli fare, including corned beef which is on special every Tuesday. Breakfast, the most popular meal of the day at Jack’s Deli and Restaurant, is served all day long. Aside from sandwiches, Jack’s also serves soups and salads. Try the delicious chicken soup – it’s sure to cure nearly anything that ails you.

Local Heroes Bar and Grill

Looking for a great place to watch the game? Look no further than Local Heroes Bar and Grill. This fun, casual dining restaurant is located close to Quicken Loans Arena and Progressive Field, making it a great place to stop before or after the game if you’re lucky enough to have tickets. If you don’t have tickets, watch it on one of the many big screen televisions inside. The local team paraphernalia inside makes it a favorite stop for many Cleveland Browns and Indians fans, and the great food keeps them coming even when there’s no game to watch.

Marta's

Take a trip to Europe without going far from Cleveland. Just a 10 minute drive from downtown Cleveland will get you to Marta’s, a European-American restaurant. The Czech owner, Marta herself, makes her own strudel which is a crisp, fruity delight. To sample the strudel without first finishing at least one full bowl of cabbage soup would be a crime. The rather plain exterior leaves you thinking the place is nothing fancy, but the food will quickly prove you wrong.
